Biometric Key Control (BKC)

Biometric Key Control (BKC)

The Biometric Key Control (BKC) helps to ensure that only qualified and properly trained operators are using the equipment. It uses the integrated biometric fingerprint sensor of the Level-8 device to authenticate the identity of the operator. The validity of the licenses (including operating license and medical license) is checked against respective information on the Minetec Server.

The key benefits of BKC include:

  • biometric finger authentication: BKC uses biometric finger authentication to verify the identity of the operator before allowing the equipment to start. This helps to ensure that only authorized personnel can use the equipment.
  • HR documentation: BKC allows the HR department to automatically track the operators’ medical licenses, operating licenses, and induction expirations. This helps to ensure that all operators are qualified and properly trained.
  • ignition blocking: BKC checks the operator's conditions and will not allow the equipment to start if the operator's conditions are not up to date or applicable.
